On Saturday, December 17th at 7:00 p.m., join us for a Festival of Lessons and Carols. The event features choir, chamber orchestra, and carols for everyone to sing.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Our Christmas Eve service will be at 7:00 p.m. on December 24th. Bring the whole family for a beautiful evening of worship and song, including candle lighting.

Because Christmas falls on a Sunday, we will also have a quiet service (with no musical accompaniment) at 9:00 on Christmas morning.

Sunday, December 12th—The Greening of the Church
After the 10:00 service, we will decorate the church for the holiday season. Plan to help out!

Sunday, December 19th—Lessons and Carols
St. Barnabas will host its 5th Annual Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols at 6:30 p.m. The service will feature readings and lots of music. Our church choir and guest singers will be accompanied by a string quartet, flute, and recorder group.  Please plan on coming and enriching your Advent season with the Word and music.

Tuesday, December 21st—a Service of the Longest Night
At 7:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Glenwood Springs, the pastors of the Episcopal, Mennonite, Methodist, and Lutheran churches will offer a “Longest Night Service,” an interfaith gathering that will include prayer, meditation, silence, and a candle lighting ceremony making space during the Christmas season for those living with grief, loss, separation, or illness that can be especially overwhelming at this time of year.  The pastors will be available for private prayer and anointing.

All are welcome.

Friday, December 24th—Christmas Eve Service for the whole family

Choral singing returns to Saint Barnabas in September!  On September 12th, the Sounds of Praise choir will sing during our 10:00 a.m. service. On September 19th, the Saint Barnabas choir returns from its summer recess. Also on September 19th, Shannon Foster will sing a solo piece during the offertory.

We look forward to the beautiful voices that will soon fill our sanctuary on Sunday mornings.
